10 Best Free Youtube Keyword Research Tools
In order to create the best possible content on YouTube, you need to find out which keywords are relevant to your niche. There are many paid tools out there that help you do this, but some of them can be costly and unreliable, so we’ve come up with a list of 10 free alternatives to the most popular paid keyword research tools available today. With these tools in your toolbox, you’ll never have to worry about wasting time or money again!
The first tool is ...
The first tool is Google’s Keyword Planner, an ad-targeting and PPC planning tool that also gives you information on search volume and trends.
But it’s important to note that Google Trends is not for mining keywords for SEO or keyword research purposes. It’s great for getting new ideas for content, but should be used as a complement to your keyword research. If you want to check out how a certain keyword has been trending over time, though, it could certainly come in handy in addition to Google Trends. And now, here are some of my favorite tools for YouTube keyword research!
Second Tool - VidIQ Vision
One of my favorite free youtube keyword research tools to use is VidIQ vision. I used it to get insight into a branded competition and plan my youtube strategy accordingly.
You can get some great ideas for your videos by understanding what is working for your competitors and create something better/different/or more targeted towards your target audience. While watching a video, you'll notice these numbers at the bottom: Views, Likes, Dislikes, Comments. These stats allow you to see what people like about each video; those insights can help you discover which keywords are likely to attract viewers on YouTube. Basically, find a video that has high view count but low comments and dislikes; that would be a good video subject to analyze using VidIQ Vision.
Third Tool - TubeBuddy
TubeBuddy is an easy to use Youtube keyword research tool. It allows you to quickly come up with new ideas for Youtube video topics, by suggesting keywords related to your existing ones.
This way, you can find new and interesting ways of talking about your brand or products. What I like most about TubeBuddy is that it makes researching easier and more efficient - finding just relevant keywords so you can get on creating content that matters to your audience! It saves me time by filtering out low-quality suggestions. In conclusion, TubeBuddy is great for coming up with new and relevant Youtube video ideas that may have been overlooked when brainstorming for Youtube videos titles or descriptions.
Fourth Tool - SpyFu
SpyFu is another great YouTube keyword research tool. You can use it to see keywords with high search volume by location.
There are also details about their competition and if they make any money from their ads. It’s similar to SEMRush except that it only shows you local results. That’s why I recommend using a combination of tools for more accurate results when doing location-based keyword research.
Fifth Tool - YouTube Data API V3
The YouTube Data API (v3) provides programmatic access to YouTube videos, playlists, channels, and other content. The default feed includes all public videos uploaded to YouTube.
Selecting a specific channel will return public information about that channel as well as public videos uploaded by that channel. In addition to data available through structured feeds, you can retrieve thumbnails, video metadata (such as title, description, tags), statistics on total views and subscribers for a given video or channel and even publish new videos using it. All of these options are possible using REST-based calls that return JSON formatted data.
Sixth Tool - FunnelFlux
FunnelFlux is a free keyword research tool that is best known for its list of YouTube’s most popular keywords.
Using a single source of data to find valuable keywords makes it easier to identify which ones are likely going to be profitable. FunnelFlux also has a paid option that allows you to add custom filters and limits, which is ideal if you have more specific needs or want to remove some of YouTube’s suggestions. This can be particularly helpful when identifying long-tail keywords in your niche.
Seventh Tool - Tube Inspector
Tube Inspector is free YouTube keyword research tool to discover and evaluate YouTube videos keywords. It shows search volume, suggested bid and daily budget options for your next video ad campaign.
You can use Tube Inspector to estimate how much you’re likely to spend if you decide to advertise a specific keyword on YouTube. This will help you avoid spending money on low-volume searches that won’t deliver results. The tool also shows related keywords which allow you to create broad, category level campaigns rather than individual, more expensive keyword based ads. If you are running a large scale advertising campaign, it may be worth investing in some of paid tools we have discussed above. However, many businesses can get started without spending any extra cash by using Tube Inspector as their Youtube keyword research tool of choice.
Eighth Tool - Keywords Everywhere
When you don’t have a lot of money to invest in keyword research, try going to Google and putting keyword tool into their search bar.
There are quite a few free tools available, such as Keyword Everywhere, AdWords Search Volume Tool, etc. You can use these free tools to get all sorts of information about keywords related to your niche. A lot of them also let you analyze up to 500 pages for free so that you can see how well any given topic is performing on a large scale before spending any money on sponsored ads. Ninth Tool - Wordstream YouTube AdWords Video Ads
This YouTube keyword research tool makes video ads directly from your keywords, saving you time and money. This powerful YouTube reseach tool allows for a variety of uses and is available for download on itunes.
Type in your main keyword, choose between broad or competitive research, click create your video ad, then enter your budget. After generating over 50 related youtube keywords with ease their free trial allows you to use their key word optimization which means you can see which of those Youtube Keywords has more traffic online and pays more money when used in youtube's advertising options.
Google Search Console allows you to see how many people have viewed your YouTube channel, which is great when combined with one of Youtube's most underutilized features: channel insights.
